What’s the latest buzz – 3DEXPERIENCE World 2023 #3DXW23 #SOLIDWORKS #CMD23

We are less than a month out from 3DEXPERIENCE World 2023 – Nashville. There is a bit happening and some announcements have been made. So lets catch up with the latest.

If you are looking to be in Nashville for the Saturday night (11th February 2023) before the event, then you will most likely need to have a feed, and more than likely, you are looking to have a beer (or two), after all, it is a Saturday night IN Nashville. Tickets, at a reduced price, are still available for the CAD Monkey Dinner, to be held at Headquarters Beercade. The discount price of the tickets, is only available until the end of this week (Saturday 21st January 2023), so there is no need, to wait, to pay full price!

It will be a night of good food, a couple of drinks, some fine company, catching up with old friends, making new friends and some pinball machines you have yet to conquer!

In the past week we have seen Dassault Systemes SOLIDWORKS drop a minor bombshell or two! I had heard rumors, when I was putting up my Planning Your World post, but we now have confirmation! I knew something was up and I did noted that: “Wednesday have technical sessions starting at 8:30am … curious indeed
We now know that the General Session – Wednesday 15th February 2023 will start at 1:15pm ….. that is Wednesday afternoon, and not AM, as in go straight from the Tuesday night Special Event on Broadway! The starting time may have something with allowing everyone to enjoy the Special Event, just that little bit more. As if anyone would miss a General Session because of the Tuesday night Special Event … 🙂

I’m sure there were other considerations, but we do know that Dassault Systemes SOLIDWORKS does like to keep us all on our toes when it comes to World.

Of more interesting note, is that, it appears like we will see the return of the technology skit to the General Sessions, after spending a few years of making “surprise appearances” in some of the technical presentations. We have seen an announcement that both the Monday & Wednesday General Session will finish with a “Don’t Miss This Demo” skit. Personally I’m pleased to see this happen and I’m sure that many will agree, as this was always a highlight of the General Sessions. Now we just have to see Model Mania® make a return to the main stage … 🙂

Dassault Systemes SOLIDWORKS has also released the announcement of a couple of the speakers, Jamie Siminoff, CEO, Founder & Chief Inventor of Ring, the world’s first Wi-Fi video doorbell and Liv Boeree Astrophysicist, Science Communicator & Poker Champion.

I don’t know a great deal about either Jamie or Liv, but both look to have interesting stories to tell. I’m certainly looking forward to seeing them. To read more about “What to Expect at the General Sessions” read more from this post on the SOLIDWORKS blog.

The CORE Podcast is being let loose with their live (and unfiltered) “Hallway Hangouts” at this years World. Jonny Harrison (Kessel Run Creations) and Kirby Downey (KJDesigns365) will be bring their slightly controlled, verging on chaos podcast, live from “The Hive”. They have been given a fridge and free range to talk to all things SOLIDWORKS and 3DEXPERIENCE World. Keep an eye out for them, when you are around “The Hive” as they broadcast the CORE Podcast, to the world, live from World.

More importantly, check out their, Nashville 3DXW Limited Print Classic T-Shirts. Better than checking them out, think about purchasing one or two, with all the money they raise though out World, will go to Magic Wheelchair. For a few years now both Jonny & Kirby along with Dassault Systemes SOLIDWORKS have been supporters of Magic Wheelchair, we should all do what we can for them!

If any of the above has given you thoughts of attending 3DEXPERIENCE World 2023 – Nashville , but you are still on the fence, let me get a few of my friends (along with a few of my own thoughts) to give you some more reasons to attend “World”

The above video was produced by Dassault Systemes SOLIDWORKS, I am both pleased & honoured to have had the opportunity to provide my insights into attending SOLIDWORKS/3DEXPERIENCE Worlds.

I’m sure we will see some more announcements & some more possible twists, in the next couple of weeks, as we get closer to “World”. Looking forward to seeing all who are going to be there!
