After 28hours in Trains, Planes & Automobiles (& a fair bit of time standing in queues & hanging around Airports) I made San Antonio. Nothing like a 13+ hour flight to catch up with a few movies I’ve been wanting to see. “The Social Network” – Interesting . “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps” – so, so (where else was I going to be able to go!) but glad I didn’t pay money to see.
I didn’t even make it out of the airport to receive the first welcome to SolidWorks World 2011.Little time to have seen or done anything yet. Interesting sitting in the bar (I had to eat somewhere!) last night & overhearing the words “Simulation” “Engineering” & “SolidWorks” like it was an everyday discussion!
Time to brave the cold (we have had this discussion before. I left in 30c/86f temps) have a walk & find a place to eat. Not so fine Print Disclaimer:
I KNOW turn left at Albuquerque wouldn’t have helped me get to San Antonio, but I did fly (almost) over it! Besides I got this gig claiming I knew all about US cartoon culture of the 60’s The fine print Disclaimer: As the winner of the SolidWorks World 2011 Internet Correspondent contest, my flights, accommodation & conference fees are being provide by the SolidWorks Corporation.
